As we know, over the course of the last year, we have all been working from home wherever possible and thankfully technology has allowed us to do this rather efficiently and effectively. As someone pointed out to me earlier this week, even 10 years ago this would have been a very different story….
So, what have we learnt from this experience? We have learnt that some of us can now run our businesses remotely rather well, we’ve taken on board new ways of working to communicate with our clients and colleagues and we’ve reduced travel time and cost. We’ve also learnt that tech will never replace the experience and impact of a face to face meeting, a meal out together or a team building day and most of us are looking forward to being able to get back to these in some way shape or form soon.
We realise that many companies have taken this time to relook at how they run their businesses and have taken the time to reset ready for when restrictions lift and life and work return to some form of normality. We have also realised that whilst there are some short-comings to working remotely, there are also a lot of benefits to a more flexible approach both to the employer and the employee and many are factoring this into their longer term plans. Some businesses have already taken the decision to reduce their overheads by closing permanent office space and will continue working from home, some are allowing a larger degree of flexibility and realising that happy employees can lead to better productivity overall.
Whatever the set up everyone will at some stage have the need to meet up either regularly, weekly or monthly or on a more ad hoc basis for planning, brainstorming and teambuilding.
At PV&E we have some great solutions to help you navigate some of the forthcoming business challenges you may find yourself facing. With our portfolio of 35 extraordinary conference and meeting venues in the UK from sports stadia and racecourses to castles and stately homes, there is a whole host of different and inspiring settings for you to choose from. Each venue is offering a flexible working package which can accommodate anything from daily office space to collaborative team working areas in a covid-safe environment. All of which are in truly unique venue settings that are sure to inspire and delight all those attending, encourage participation and make people feel valued.
From delicious catering options laid on by our expert team including invigorating breakfast menus, sumptuous lunches and tempting afternoon teas as well as post meeting drinks and snacks or a bbq, we all can’t wait to be waited on again and share some good hospitality with clients and colleagues. Catering can also be arranged in our outside spaces at many of our venues to enjoy during the summer months both during the day and in the evenings.
As well as providing a flexible meeting space, breakout rooms and AV equipment as required, we can also help with some ideas for team building and some fun activities to celebrate being able to be together again and to make the most of the face to face time with clients and colleagues. From stadium tours and museum visits to sports training and roof top tours our stadia are packed with great opportunities to break up the day with an sports themed activity. As for the cultural destinations, they offer a more serene setting with amazing views, stunning architecture and beautiful grounds to explore or again host some team building activities. We work with a number of specialist suppliers who can provide cocktail masterclasses, chocolate making, gin and wine tastings, outdoor yoga and other outdoor activities such as it’s a knock out, clay pigeon shooting and off roading.
We can also combine sporting hospitality or an exhibition with a work meeting. Spend the morning working collaboratively with your team or clients and then break for a delicious lunch and enjoy and afternoon of horse racing, live cricket, rugby or football or take in some culture with the latest art or culture exhibition once restrictions allow.
