Holiday season brings with it a chance to escape the day to day with loved ones in romantic destinations around the world. Sunsets on the beach or long walks through still, summer countryside, are the perfect location to drop ‘the question’ – so for those who did get engaged over the summer, what’s in store and where do you start planning!
Choosing the Venue
One of the most exciting elements of a wedding day is choosing where you want to get married, whether it is a result of choosing a wedding venue with history in your family, something in the local area or simply just somewhere that you love.
Working with venues that cater to weddings from start to finish, with specific packages per head, are a popular choice as they allow for the perfect wedding setting – minus the hassle of thinking about every fixture and fitting to match.
Within our portfolio there are plenty of wedding venues which can be tailored to the needs of your big day – from decoration through to the food.
Picking a venue can range from anything from a local stadium in prime locations (such as Blackburn Rovers, Ewood Park) through to Blair Castle – rich in history and nestled wonderfully in Highland Perthshire.
Venues are flexible and adaptable to the needs of your day – so consider what you want to achieve with your venue and contact us to find out more.
Some core elements to consider are:
- The location of the venue you want to marry in
- Do you need accommodation nearby?
- What type of day are you looking to have – traditional/modern etc
- Do you have any special requirements?
These simple steps and answers will see you well on your way to booking a dream venue.
Choosing Food at Your Wedding Venue
Outside of the venue (and the invites!) many of us worry about the food on our big day – and again, our award winning chefs are there to ensure your guests are wowed and the wedding breakfast creates additional memories for all.
Wedding fairs are taking place across the country from September onwards – including at Knebworth House on the Thursday 24th October.
Guests will be welcomed with a glass on bubbles and get to sample mini tasters of the new menu. They’ll see the venue, can talk through the options, be the first to see Knebworth’s new packages and meet recommended, local suppliers, including florists, DJs and decorators.

Save the Date!
Once the wedding venue is chosen, you’ve spoken to an events team and the food is set – all you need to do is tell your friends and family to save the date!
