Chefs on the Thames’ leading floating restaurant are pushing the boat out with their most luxurious Valentine’s Day menu to date...
Lobster bisque, treaclecured salmon with burnt grapefruit and a selection of fine wines are just a few of the treats in store for diners on Bateaux London’s Symphony, on Wednesday, 14 February, when it takes to the water for an evening of entertainment.
The night will begin with a glass of Champagne before couples are shown to their table and served a five-course meal.
The lobster starter and salmon fish course will be followed by a main course of duck, served two ways with a star anise jus, celeriac purée and roasted candy cane beetroot.
A dessert of chocolate and caramel tart with smashed honeycomb and chocolate popping candy will be followed by a baked camembert to share, with lavender honey and thyme toast and dinner will be rounded off with coffee, Turkish Delight and bitter chocolate mints.
Bateaux London’s on-board team of chefs have also created a vegetarian menu featuring salt baked celeriac with nettle mayonnaise, toasted brioche and aged cheddar and saffron arancini with mozzarella and sun blush tomatoes.

Dinner will be accompanied by wine, beers and soft drinks and, as Symphony glides past the Globe Theatre, St Paul’s Cathedral, The Shard and the Houses of Parliament, diners will be entertained by a live band and singer.
Boarding will begin at 19.30hrs, with Symphony departing half an hour later. The Valentine’s Day river cruise will last approximately three hours.
All Bateaux London cruises depart from Embankment Pier, Victoria Embankment and guests are expected to adhere to a smart dress code.
Diners can opt to sit in the main suite, choose a table window or the enjoy the privacy of the Tower Suite and prices start at £145.
